Overview

UnderstandDocs processes pasted text and uploaded document content to generate summaries and structured outputs.

For supported .docx files, text extraction occurs locally in your browser before analysis.

Extracted text may be securely sent to the Anthropic API for analysis.

UnderstandDocs does not provide a document library, saved workspace, or permanent storage of submitted document content.

Data handling

Submitted content is used only to generate the requested summary or structured output.

At the application level, UnderstandDocs logs limited technical metadata for security, abuse prevention, and service reliability. This may include request timestamps, anonymized client identifiers or IP-related rate limit signals, document length, request duration, and error reasons when failures occur. These logs do not include the full submitted document text.

Your hosting provider or external services may maintain their own operational logs outside this application.

Sensitive Information

If your document contains highly confidential, regulated, or sensitive information, we recommend caution before submitting it to any third-party AI processing service.

Important Note

AI-generated summaries may contain mistakes, omissions, or incomplete context. Always verify important information independently before relying on results.
